about the hideaway
The Hideaway anchors our downtown reach as a new, intimate treatment facility in The Marriott Marquis & Marina in Downtown San Diego, CA. In 2014 we converted an old office space area hidden on the mezzanine floor into 3 single treatment rooms, a couples room, and a cozy zen waiting room. The 1,200 square foot facility can only be accessed by the exclusive Hideaway elevator making it a very hidden, yet sought after amenity within the over 1300-guest room hotel.

With such an intimate facility, The Marriott depends on our team to provide a higher level of service than what may be found in other larger day spas with repeat, consistent guests and plenty of space. As we are limited to the volume of services that can be provided, our guests expect an extremely personalized, intimate, and exquisite treatment. As representatives of both The Hideaway AND The Marriott Marquis, our team must provide treatments and overall guest satisfaction of the highest possible caliber.

Our therapists are committed to their craft and exceed all state requirements with more than 1,000 hours of massage training, holistic health education and clinical experience. We are advanced massage therapists with many other degrees, certifications and areas of expertise and many are recognized as Holistic Health Practitioners (HHPs).
Our Wellness Experts continue to lead their practice with an "excellence of skill." Exquisite therapists can perform a variety of modalities and provide the highest possible level of service that addresses the needs of the INDIVIDUAL client in the present moment. Our team has the intuition and intelligence to CREATE a session verses performing a cookie-cutter chop-shop massage! Exquisite Therapists have been carefully selected for being sensitive and compassionate to the needs of our most valued guests - every guest. A few "must have's" to be considered an Exquisite team member include but are not limited to:
At least 500 total hours of formal training
Licensed and insured in the State of California
Reliable transportation
Ability (and desire) to commit to a specific schedule
Experience working with sophisticated, demanding, "high-end" guests a plus but not required
Self confidence, professionalism, respect and trustworthiness - "Exquisiteness"
